Boilermaker

Job Title: Boilermaker

Positions available: 1

  • To work in the new Bitumen Tanker Department

  • Experience in medium to heavy fabrication environments required

  • Position involves manufacturing 6 – 7-tonne steel tanks (material thicknesses – steel structures 4-5mm, sub-frames 6-8mm, small elements 0.9-1.2mm)

  • Boilermaker qualification preferred

  • Experience with carbon steel essential

  • Experience with aluminium desirable

  • Strong MIG and TIG welding skills essential

  • ASME G welding codes and pressure vessel standards desirable (x-ray and magnetic inspections)

  • Photos and videos of candidates’ work will assist with identifying strong applicants (NZSiD already gathering this type of evidence for welder/fabricators)
