Job Title: Site Supervisor Carpenters

Location: Bay of Plenty

Overview

As a site supervisor you will be responsible for overseeing and providing for all carpentry and related functions necessary to ensure the safety, security, and functionality of all facilities.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Oversee and participate in repairs and improvements to facilities as needed.

  • Supervise carpenters to ensure safety and quality in the performance of assigned tasks.

  • Install fixtures and apparatuses; repair and replace hardware.

  • Estimate and purchase tools, materials, equipment and supplies as necessary to perform assigned duties and tasks.

  • Coordinate and prioritize shop and field work.

  • Maintain paperwork as necessary for the operation of the carpentry department (may include time sheets, purchase orders, work orders, etc.).

  • Construct custom cabinetry and furniture as needed; repairs or modifies furniture as needed.

  • Conform to an established work schedule.

Qualifications & SKills

  • Possess a recognized trade qualification in carpentry from a reputable institution OR

  • Have a proven track record of at least 6+ years of relevant carpentry experience in the construction industry

  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of carpentry techniques, materials, and tools.

  • Exhibit excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to find practical solutions independently or as part of a team.

  • Prioritize safety at all times and adhere to construction site safety protocols.

  • Possess the physical strength and stamina required to perform manual labour associated with carpentry work.

  • Display a keen eye for detail, ensuring precision in all carpentry tasks.

  • Hold a Valid driver's license for potential travel to project sites.
